Danzig - Sub Pop Bootleg 7"

Let's be honest, we all kinda liked the band Danzig when they first started out. Well, I did anyway. Not quite sure how this release came about. That's largely due to the fact that I've never made the effort to find out. Anyway, it's from 1991 and it's pretty heavy, in a Demo-y sort of way.

The Undead - The Invisible Man 7"

This 1992 7" by Bobby Steele and the boys gives us the catchy title track, typical Undead fun, as well as a thoroughly entertaining cover of the Alice Cooper classic.

Agent Orange - Your Mother Sucks Cocks In Hell... 7"

Time to head to the beach. No, not that beach. This one is in Amsterdam. Not sure how the surfing is, but I'm also not sure these boys and girl really care. Loud and abrasive Holland Hardcore. 'Bitchin' Summer' this ain't!

Motördamn - Over The Top 7"

What happens when legends collide? Well, this single for one. Back in 1979 Motörhead and the Damned found themselves in the same studio. And, as the back label says, "the seven headed beast" put down 'Over The Top', then Lemmy hung around to help out the Damned boys with 'Ballroom Blitz'.

Rancid Vat - No Royalties! No Loyalties! 7"

Now here's a band I've not posted enough of. Rancid Vat. Sure, they're an acquired taste. But so is alcohol. This particular live 7" shows off the rare beauty that was/is Rancid Vat live. Described on the RV website as "Proud candidate for most annoying record of all time".

Poison Idea - Darby Crash Rides Again 7"

It was the late 80's when PI put out this 7" of rough and raw demos from their very early days. Though not a review of this record, I present a review of the band, from some website I stumbled upon:

Compare, for a moment, Poison Idea to many of the well-groomed and immaculately-tattooed punks strutting their safe ‘n’ sanitized stuff today. Here was a band that was fat, ugly, ill-kempt and proudly degenerate. You’d never find them in a gym or their posters plastered on the bedroom walls of teenage girls, and their music represented an adequate enough summation of the bleak, brutal reality they inhabited: raw, belligerent and yet, for all its many sins, comfortable in its own sallow, pock-marked skin.

Stinkerbell - Who Blew Smoke? 7"

I bought this 7" way back when because, duh, they're called Stinkerbell. Damn glad I did cuz I love these 3 tracks. Female-fronted scum punk from Texas. Legend has it the Dwarves played once and Blag dared anyone to blow him. The singer hopped on stage and did just that. Unfortunately I know nothing else about the band. They did release a couple other things, which I just added to my want list. Anyone out there have them?

NOFX - Hardcore Covers 7"

NOFX have been doing this for over 30 years. In 2011 they released this 7" as an homage to bands they grew up on. Great takes on Necros, Social Unrest, Stretch Marks and others. A worthwhile listen.

The Stalin - Dendo Kokeshi 7"

Japanese legends The Stalin graced us with their recorded presence with this single in 1980. The start of a great thing. But truth be told, the cover makes me wince a little.

Final Count - Self-Titled 7"

Today we're brutalized by Japanese hardcore. Final Count released this 5 song ripper in 1988. Sadly, I believe it's their only release. But if you play it over and over again it'll seem really long. And your eyes would bleed.

Pandemonium - Who The Fuck Are You? 7"

Pandemonium was one of those bands I liked, but had only heard a couple comp tracks. In the digital age I was able to change that. Turns out 'Pandemonium' is a pretty apt name. Great Netherlands hardcore.

The Worst - Self-Titled 7"

Ultra cool hardcore from these old school Jersey punks. Quite an enjoyable listen. And, my requests keep coming. Anyone have the 2004 cd comp 'The Worst Of The Worst'? I'd love to hear it.

Detention - Dead Rock 'N Rollers 7"

I know nothing about this NJ band. I do like this 7", though. Apparently the great Grand Theft Audio released a complete Detention collection in 2000. What are the odds anyone out there has it?

Painful X-Tremeties - You're In Good Hands 7"

Another great Rapid City, SD hardcore band. Rapid City might be small, and might've been a little late to the party, but they ended up with a good and vibrant HC scene in the late 80's. Check out a fantastic "scene site" for all things Rapid City HERE. And check out the PX 7" here.

Rhythm Pigs - An American Activity 7"

The Rhythm Pigs began in Texas in the early/mid 80's. They put out this debut in 1984. Good, somewhat sedate hardcore.

Modern Warfare - #2 7"

Here's an LA band that I wish had recorded tons of stuff. Sadly that's not the case. They appeared on a handful of comps and only released two 7"s. The first was cleverly titled, this one... not so much. But that doesn't really matter when the tunes are this good. Great LAHC. I love this band.

Capitol Punishment - Glutton For Punishment 7"

And once again it's my favorite time of year. Yep, that's right, time for 7"s Of Summer!

We begin with a band I always loved - Capitol Punishment, from Fresno, CA. If I'm not mistaken this is the first release after Ralph left the band and they got a new singer. Personally I think they lost a little something after that. Not as great as their earlier stuff, but still good and furious.

Don't Worry If You Feel Cheap

A Request...

Before we kick off another month here I'd like to make a request, regarding requests. And that is... Be Patient! I have no intention of NOT fulfilling every request for re-ups. I'm just lazy. And I've been quite busy at work lately. However, it's my goal to clean up all outstanding requests by month's end. So hang in there, and please keep requesting.
