Gudon - 卑下志望 (Hikashibou) 7"

Might as well end the month with yet another Japanese powerhouse flexi. How the hell do they fit all this power on a record that bends?!?

Joe Young - Bury The Needle 7"

Back in April we lost an American treasure. Mighty Joe Young up and left us. But his destructo buzzsaw guitar work lives on. Back in the late 80's, several A-SEEN side projects emerged, including this 7". A good release made great by the last track 'ANTiSEEN Medley'. Although, I wish it had been recorded about 15 years later and was about 15 or 20 minutes longer.

Chronic Sick - Self-Titled 7"

OK, let's clear something up here. If a record, particularly a 7" EP, has nothing more than the band name on front and (maybe) track listing on back is it considered a 'Self-Titled' EP, or is the name of the EP automatically the name of the first song?

Exhibit A: Today's post. These NJ scumbags (and I mean that in the most complimentary way) released this debut 7" in 1983.

Clearly, I'm on the 'Self-Titled' side. However, most places you see this 7" it's referred to as the 'Reagan Bands' EP which is, of course, the first song. Well, no matter what you call it, the record delivers good scuzzy hardcore.

Hated Principles - The Curse Of Prince Hated 7"

So way back when I was dating this chick. She owned the Feederz 'Jesus' 7". I really wanted it but for some reason she wouldn't let me have it. Finally I wore her down and she said she's bring it to me. Problem was, she accidentally brought this one instead. Long story short, I eventually got the Jesus E.P. plus this guy as a bonus. Classic LA punk. Terrible story, great 7".

F - Four From '84 7"

Ok, so from what I've read there were two Florida bands with the name 'F'. Different members, different styles but some of the same songs. The more hardcore of the two released the epic 'You Are An E.P.' which can be found HERE, along with a brief synopsis of the band(s). And here's the other 'F' band.

Next up we have the punk metalheads Stormtroopers Of Death with their 1999 single. Side A is a typical ripper, while Side B gets to be a bit too 'Dungeons & Dragons'y for my liking.

The Mau Maus released a smattering (yes, a smattering) of good 7"s in the early 80's. Here's one. Good, angry hardcore from these Sheffield blokes.
