Solución Mortal - Live At Fairmount

We've reached the final stop on our world tour, and it's a damn good live recording from the band Solución Mortal. A great hardcore set recorded live at a show in San Diego.
Solución Mortal

Descontrol - Self-Titled

Here's the completely stripped down punk/hardcore sound of Descontrol.

Los Violadores - Self-Titled

V/A - Capitol Kaos

Here's Oceania compilation #2. From what I've been able to learn, 1983 saw a huge day-long punk festival in New Zealand which ultimately resulted in police involvement and chaos. This comp is a document of that festival. 10 rough and tumble bands are featured here. it must've been one helluva show!

V/A - The Not So Lucky Country

Lots of different styles of punk, hardcore and even new wave are represented on this massive double set. I hadn't heard much Aussie punk back then. This would have been (and still is for that matter) a great way to hear alot of it. An impressive collection.

Lip Cream - Kill Ugly Pop!

Lip Cream. Here's more excellent Japanese hardcore. Lip Cream released several records throughout the mid to late 80's. These guys play a more 'straight-forward' style of hardcore than the insanity of G.I.S.M., which isn't to say that they lack any of the power. There's also plenty of 'crossover' or metal influences. They're fucking brutal!

Kill Ugly Pop!

G.I.S.M. - Detestation

Oh baby! Now comes one of my most anticipated stops on the Hardcore World Tour: Japan! I've always loved Japanese hardcore. And here, in my opinion, is one of the best. If you haven't heard G.I.S.M. before, download this immediately! Hardcore Insanity! Sadly, they released precious little. This is their debut from 1984. I think these guys are FUCKING AWESOME!!

Riot Squad S.A. - Total Onslaught 7"

Here's some snotty punk rock from South Africa.

Total Onslaught

V/A - Afrika Corps

This comp is an excellent sample of the punk/hardcore scene that was in South Africa. Some of the live recordings are rough, which we were just fine with back in the day. There's some good stuff on here.

Vulpess - Me Gusta Ser Una Zorra 7"

And here's the other end of the Spanish punk rock spectrum. Vulpess was a fun, all girl band that pumped out the 70's style punk.

Me Gusta Ser Una Zorra

H.H.H. - Intellectual Punks 7"

H.H.H. Harina de Huesos Humanos (Human Bone Meal...really?!?) hail from Spain and play some fast and brutal hardcore. Here's their 1986 E.P. I do have more which I will post eventually. This is a really good band!

Les Thugs - Dirty White Race

Les Thugs formed in 1983 and released quite a few records until they hung it up in the late 90's. Here's their 1988 E.P. Good melodic hardcore.

Dirty White Race

V/A - Chaos En France Vol 1 & 2

From what I've been able to learn, France was popular for the 'skunk' sound. A fusion of 'skin' & 'punk'. Whatever you want to call it, here's a 2 Disc compilation from the green fields of France that features some good, French Punk Rock.

Chaos En France

Manisch Depressiv - MD 7"

Very interesting stuff here. Not sure where to file this one. Poppy? Punky? New Wavey? Strange? No discernible song breaks and no song list included, but the blog I got this from supplied one. As I said... very interesting!
MD

Crash Course - Self-Titled 7"

Quick, simple hardcore from the Swiss bands only release, in 1982.

Crash Course

V/A - Pogo Punks

Let's spend the day in the beautifil country of Switzerland. To start here's a Swiss compilation originally released, I believe, as a bootleg in 1999. The recordings are from '77-'82 and feature various styles of early punk rock. There are some damn good punk songs on here.

More Italian speedcore INSANITY! Both bands are lightning fast.

Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers - 400 Fascists 7"

Few match Italian legends CCM for flat out ferocity. This is their rough sounding, but no less intense debut from 1981.

Good Austrian crossover from 1987.

Frenetic raw punk from Austria. I believe this is their lone release, from 1983.

Neurotic Arseholes - ... Bis Zum Bitteren Ende

The last West German stop is Minden, and the Neurotic Arseholes. They play a melodic style of hardcore. They kinda remind me of a late 80's Social Unrest.

... Bis Zum Bitteren Ende

Porno Patrol - Jump Back 7"

More great hardcore from West Germany.

Jump Back

Brutal Verschimmelt - Self-Titled

Here's a band I know nothing about. I do know their sound is very reminiscent of early English hardcore.

Brutal Verschimmelt

Toxoplasma - Self-Titled

Toxoplasma started in 1980 and like so many other bands have stopped and started throughout the last 30 years. Here's their 1983 debut. Good, but uneventful hardcore.
Toxoplasma

Nikoteens - Aloah-Oehh

Here is another band that I discovered while blog surfing. I had never heard them before and as a result I cheated myself out of 30 years of enjoying this band. Raw punk energy from West Germany.
Aloah-Oehh

Upright Citizens - Make The Future Mine & Yours

Today we're taking a long, slow trip through 1980's West Germany.
Upright Citizens formed in 1981 and pumped out tunes for 22 years before hanging it up. This is their 1983 release. It's just good, straight ahead 80's hardcore.

Make The Future Mine & Yours

Sexy Bollocks - What's In A Name? 7"

Here's more rough-edged hardcore from Belgium. I believe this is all they released. Too bad, this 7" is really cool.

What's In A Name

Zyklome A/Moral Demolition - Repression Split E.P.

This 1983 7" brings together two fast Belgian hardcore outfits. I believe this is all MD released. Zyklom had a full length in '84 as well as several comp appearances.

Repression E.P.

Capital Scum - Clutch The Flag 7"

Capital Scum, from Belgium, released this debut 7" in 1986. They released an L.P. the following year and that's about it. Good hardcore, tho.

Good fast hardcore from the Netherlands. Nothing too special, but good.

The Last Blast

Lärm/Stanx - Split L.P.

Here's a split from two aggressive Netherlands bands. Lärm delivers short fast blasts while Stanx doesn't let up either.

Electric Deads - Mind Bomb 7"

I first heard Denmarks Electric Deads on the Welcome To 1984 comp. I absolutely loved the tune 'Fish In A Pool'. The band released 3 7"s in their time, this being the third. It's a good record, but for me it just didn't live up to what I had hoped.

V/A - Nå Eller Aldri

Punk Rock from Norway. Here's a 7 band, 7 song sampler of early 80's Norwegian hardcore. The tunes range from furious hardcore to... furious hardcore.

Nå Eller Aldri

Filthy Christians - Mean

Sweden is just so damn nice we're gonna stay a little longer. Filthy Christians were a late '80s/early '90s crossover band, leaning more to the side of Metal or even Death Metal.
Mean

Crude S.S. - Who'll Survive 7"

Crude SS is another vicious hardcore band from Sweden that I foolishly ignored way back when. Damn these guys can bring it! Unfortunately they released precious little in their time.

Who'll Survive

Mob 47 - Kärnvapen Attack 7"

Mob 47 started in Sweden in 1982. I knew them from comps but never sought out their stuff. Foolish me! These guys are Hardcore Monsters! Brutal and fast. This is just a furious 7". I must find more!

Kärnvapen Attack

Anti-Cimex - Anarkist Attack 7" + Raped Ass 7"

Sweden had a fantastic 80's hardcore scene. Here's proof. The first two 7"s by Anti-Cimex. Damn good hardcore.

Massacre - Tuho 7"

Massacre. More angry Finns yelling to a mid-tempo beat.

Tuho

Terveet Kädet - Ääretön Joulu 7"

Today we're off to Scandanavia.
Here's some sceraming Finnish hardcore for you. Terveet Kädet started in 1980 and are still releasing music. Unfortunately I've only heard their early stuff, like this 7" released in 1982. It's a great E.P. Short and fast. Hell Yes!

Ääretön Joulu

J.M.K.E. - Totally Estoned

Here's some very entertaining Soviet (and post-Soviet) melodic hardcore. I searched and searched to find out what J.M.K.E. stands for but was unsuccessful. I did find out they formed in Estonia in 1986 and I believe they still perform today. This 'Best Of' CD was released in 1997. Damn catchy tunes and what I will assume is great 'sing-along' lyrics.

Totally Estoned

Civil Defence - Filthy Youth

Civil Defense. I used the term 'minimalist' to describe a band a few days ago. Well... THIS is minimalist. Grazhdanskaya Oborona (Civil Defense to us Yanks) is credited with being one of the first punk bands in Russia, if not THE first. Preaching social dissidence in Communist Russia (or any of these Eastern Bloc countries) could not have been easy. It took guts. The music is fairly slow punk tunes.
